Biography

Richard is both an accomplished physiotherapist and a talented artist, who enjoys painting, movies, and music outside of work, as well as his beloved Australian Rules football team, the Melbourne Demons.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Physiotherapy from La Trobe University (Lincoln Institute) in 1989 and he has worked as a physiotherapist in Melbourne, Australia, as well as internationally abroad in Europe. In London, he became a consultation physiotherapist to West End theatre producers, treating highly regarded professional theatrical performers and staff.

As an artist, Richard has a keen interest in exploring the relationship between mankind and nature, particularly through an anthropomorphic lens. Being a cat-lover and owner, it should come as no surprise that Richard loves to capture the animal form, on canvas, in all its detailed beauty.

With his professional background in applied science and human movement, combined with his creative flair and artistic prowess, Richard weaves together a unique visual perspective in each work of art he produces.
